ബര്‍ലിന്‍: മദ്യത്തിന്റെയും മയക്കുമരുന്നിന്റെയും ലഹരിയിലായിരുന്ന പോളിഷ് ട്രക്ക് ഡ്റൈവര്‍ ശനിയാഴ്ച പടിഞ്ഞാറന്‍ ജര്‍മ്മനിയിലെ നോര്‍ത്ത് റൈന്‍~വെസ്ററ്ഫാലിയ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് രണ്ട് ഹൈവേകളില്‍ വലിയ അപകടമുണ്ടാക്കിയതില്‍ 26 പേര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേല്‍ക്കുകയും നിരവധി വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കേടുപാടുകള്‍ വരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.

ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റ എട്ട് പേരില്‍ ഒരാളുടെ നില ഗുരുതരമാണെന്ന് പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു, അതേസമയം 30 കാരനായ ട്രക്കറും ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ചികിത്സയിലാണ്.
സംഭവത്തില്‍ മറ്റ് നിരവധി വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കേടുപാടുകള്‍ സംഭവിച്ചു. ശനിയാഴ്ച ഉച്ചകഴിഞ്ഞ് നൊയസ് നഗരത്തിന് സമീപമുള്ള എ 46 ഓട്ടോബാനില്‍ ഒരു ട്രക്ക് തെറ്റായി ഓടിക്കുന്നതായി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ ലഭിച്ചതായി പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

ഹൈവേ പോലീസ് പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച സ്റേറാപ്പ് ഉത്തരവുകള്‍ ൈ്രഡവര്‍ അവഗണിച്ചു, കൂടാതെ ട്രക്ക് വുപ്പര്‍ട്ടാല്‍ മേഖലയില്‍ സിഗ്സാഗ് ലൈനുകള്‍ തുടര്‍ന്നു, ആ പ്രദേശത്തെ മറ്റ് ൈ്രഡവര്‍മാരോട് കഴിയുന്നത്ര വേഗത്തില്‍ ഹൈവേകള്‍ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

തുടര്‍ന്ന് ട്രക്ക് എ 1 ഓട്ടോബാനിലേക്ക് ഓടിക്കയറുകയും സൈഡ് പ്രൊട്ടക്ടറില്‍ നിരവധിതവണ ഇടിച്ചു കേറുകയും എതിരെ വന്നിരുന്ന ട്രാഫിക്കില്‍ കുടുങ്ങിയതായും പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നീട് മറ്റ് വാഹനങ്ങളുമായി കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് ട്രക്ക് തരിപ്പണമായി. തുടര്‍ന്ന് ൈ്രഡവറെ പൊലീസ് അറസ്ററ് ചെയ്തു. മൊത്തത്തില്‍, ലഹരിയടിച്ചുള്ള സവാരി ഏകദേശം 60 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ പിന്നിട്ടതായി പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. സംഭവം വന്‍ ഗതാഗതക്കുരുക്കിന് കാരണമായി.

സംഭവത്തെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് എ1 ന്റെ പല ഭാഗങ്ങളും പോലീസ് അടച്ചു, ഞായറാഴ്ചയും അടച്ചുപൂട്ടല്‍ തുടര്‍ന്നു. എ 46 താത്കാലികമായി ഗതാഗതം നിരോധിച്ചു.ൈ്രഡവറെ പിടികൂടിയതിന് ശേഷം നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയില്‍ മദ്യവും മയക്കുമരുന്നും കഴിച്ചതായി സൂചന ലഭിച്ചതായി അന്വേഷണ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. സംഭവത്തിന്റെ ദൃക്സാക്ഷികള്‍ക്കായി തിരച്ചില്‍ നടത്തിവരികയാണ്.
